Leeds Festival 2022

Updated: Oct 23, 2022

This week I attended Leeds Festival. For me, Leeds is one of the biggest festivals of the year, with a wide range of artists and bands preforming over the weekend. I didn't take my camera but I did capture as much as possible on my phone.

I have been going to Leeds Fest since 2019 and have seen some amazing bands across the main and smaller stages. This year I saw most bands and artists on the smaller stages.

This year the main headliners were

Friday: Halsey and The 1975

Saturday: Megan the Stalian and Dave

Sunday: Bring Me The Horizon and Arctic Monkeys.

On the Festival Republic stage I saw Fever 333, Sueco, Witch Fever and many more. Fever 333 were the main band on this stage on Saturday, they have so much energy on stage it was unreal. I dont think I've ever seen such madness in a smaller tent! Similarly, every band and artist I saw on this stage had huge energy which is why I prefer this tent.

On the main stages I saw Glass Animals, Bring Me The Horizon and Arctic Monkeys. By far the best performance of the whole weekend was Bring Me The Horizon! They were unreal with the lighting, confetti, stage presence and crowd interaction. I've been waiting to see them since I was 14 years old. Also bringing out Yungblud, a young Alternate artist from Doncaster with huge engery, added so much to it.

Arctic Monkeys were another great band I've been wanting to see for years too. I knew almost every song they played, my favourite being 'Brainstorm'. The crowd was so hyped as they sang along. However, there wasn't much crowd interaction, this was the only downside to the set.

Overall I had an amazing time watching some new, some old bands and artists throughout the weekend. Can't wait for next year!
